Every day, in the project the educators and volunteers do different activities.
All volunteers can perform various activities without having to make their work a tired routine.
The number of children requiring care in different areas exceeds 30 or 40 children per day.
It is recommended that volunteers coordinate their activities with educators to have the necessary support when required.

Education

Toilet and personal hygiene

This is a new program that began this year, thanks to the new building which our children can now enjoy. All this has been achieved by the great and generous collaboration and input from our friends Hans former volunteers, Maike, Rinske, Saskia, Andries and Anke.
This activity is carried out by the volunteer Rinske, (also can be executed by any other volunteer or educator), who teaches on a daily basis and helps children to wash their hands after playing, bathing, brushing, wash their face and hair .
The children really enjoy this activity and we always have a relationship who will be paving (we have hot water for them), since many of them have no water and no bathroom or shower in their homes and are always dirty.
If you want to work with this activity, you can send us a donation of materials such as : shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, towels, combs, etc..

Sports Activities - Sport

It is a discipline in which all children, educators and volunteers of the project is considered as a free activity and is done in free time. All children participate in this activity as they want and it’s very essential to a healthy and appropriate growth in each of them.
We make different kinds of sports like volleyball, soccer, etc... With the help and participation of our friends volunteers, in this way, we are trying to teach children the importance of a healthy and appropriate activity, such as sports, and incidentally keep them away from other potential services that can ruin their lives and the future of adolescents and young.

Artistic Activities

Here we use different types of crafts, paper, cardboard, wax, wood, paints, origami, balloons, necklaces, bracelets, key rings, etc...
The purpose of this activity is to develop and expand the kid’s skills and creativity in the manual arts; this may in the future serve as a working environment and thus generate income for their family.

Music
The workshop music is considered as an alternative learning for all children and adolescents who wish to do this activity. It also involves our friends who are doing volunteer work. Some classes were run by them (as Marike and Ricarda), they shared with the kids part of theirknowledge in this art and it was very helpful to everyone.
We have some musical instruments like guitars (3), Body (1), (2) quena, zampona (5), bass drum (1). If you have any musical instrument that is no longer useful, you can send it here, where it will be well used.

Dance and Theater

The dance is performed independently, children and adolescents are either free to carry out this activity.
We have no budget to hire a teacher to teach indigenous dances of cusco.
With the help of a teacher we have started salsa classes, and the participation of the volunteers in this class is planned.
Generally children prepare a show of dancing as a gift for volunteers in its last day of work on the project.

Actividades Recreativas

Ludo teca

The game room is intended for all children and adolescents who are looking for a space for recreation. We try to feed this desire for the games and tackle as a means of learning. We use educational and concentration games in order to create an appropriate environment, ample and convenient for the youth. We are helping to create a healthy recreation area where children's rights are respected in order to limit the risk associated with their activities in the streets without any supervision.

workshop

English Classes
English classes are courses designed for all children, adolescents and youth, including parents. This course is headed directly by those doing volunteer work in the project and have the will and capacity to perform this activity, since it is very difficult for us to hire a teacher specializing in this area.
To be able to perform this activity the volunteer has to have a basic knowledge of Spanish and perform this activity for a period of 12 weeks.

Computer Workshop

This course can be carried out by volunteers who teach or may have a certain knowledge about computers (Office, Windows), (there is no need to be specialists or professional). For reasons of nature, a thunder that fell close to the house, we have lost 2 computers, they burned by electrical overload, and now we only have 1 computer.
We are looking for help or people who can give us some computers, no matter whether they are old, for the draft is not necessary super modern computers, children just need to learn the basics and be able to use the Internet in the future.

Sewing Workshop
The sewing workshop and confection garment is aimed at children older than 11 years and mothers, in order to train them and prepare them in a race to future techniques that allow them to get a job that might improve their quality of life.
This workshop was held with the donations of many volunteers who gave us the machines, fabrics and money to pay the teacher who leads this workshop (thanks to them).
Currently this activity has stopped for lack of money to pay the teacher who gives classes; we are looking for more help and move forward with this important workshop.

Wood game’s reproduction workshop
The woodwork workshop aims at the LEARNING in the reproduction and creation of educational character sets that are necessary for the project, at the same moment it allows the creativity of children for the creation of new games.

Micro Credit Program is designed to provide help to mothers in need of economical help.

Micro credits.
The micro-credit program aims at providing economic aid through small loan money (micro credit) delivered to the mothers and fathers of family and allowing them to be able to start in any business or independent commercial activity where they can work and win certain revenue that would ease their needs.
This program was initiated with the assistance and contribution of our friend Hans (volunteer in the country from Netherlands). With the help of this program, 22 families now have an independent business and others have expanded or improved their business.
Many mothers and working families are raising and sale guinea pigs, lena (small wood for cooking), sweets, cakes, biscuits, collection of discarded bottles (recycling) and tissues. Other mothers fail to get jobs due to lack of study and preparation. Many times when a mother or father asks for a loan at the bank, it is not accepted by lack of guarantees and by that way, the unemployed mother and her children may not have the need to feed and study.
We want to thank our friends volunteers who joined this program and contributed in a way that we can continue to provide more help to more families inneed who want to get ahead through their own efforts and improve their quality of life and provide for their children adequate food and education.
We continue to seek more help to reach more families in need.

Other Activities
Inter daily food program
This is a program that was initiated due to the large amount of children suffering from malnutrition, many of them do not eat during the day because of the irresponsibility of their parents and others because of their poverty and lack of work of their parents. Thanks to the collaboration of our friend volunteer Iris (From Holland), who was motivated by the need and reality of children. She donated a certain amount of money that permitted us to give food (lunches) to all kids, 2 times a week for 12 months, in 2006.
Today this money has already been spent and we do not have funding to continue with this activity that is very important and very helpful for all our children and adolescents. We are looking for help and generous people who wish to support and provide continuity to this program supply.

Group tours operator
Field trips are organized by volunteers in conjunction with educators. This activity is a present to the kids. During these short trips the children are very happy and a marvelled about the view.
The project does not have a budget for doing these so almost all of them are done by volunteers. It usually leads the children to walk to the archaeological sites, museums and recreational fields that Cusco has:

3. Zoo of Cusco´s University
4. Sacred Temple of the Lord of Huanca
5. Puclllaycancha Recreation Center and others.
